Band International launches new design

Band International launches new Ascot wedding and banqueting chair at Showman’s Show 2011

Band International is launching the new Ascot wedding and banqueting chair at the Showman’s Show 2011 in Newbury.  The Ascot is the newest addition to Band’s well established range of high quality, FSC certified bentwood wedding and banqueting chairs, all of which are made from sustainably managed forests in Europe.

Band will also be showcasing two other recent additions to its range.  The Medallion banqueting chair is the ultimate in retro design, and the Banquo chair – the translucent stacker which is already becoming a clear favourite!

Band International’s range of wholesale banqueting chairs has been growing since the company was first established in 1991.  The Cheltenham chair led the way as the first stackable banqueting chair on the market and was chosen by all the leading rental companies in the UK.  20 years on these chairs are still very much in use and Band continues to supply their happy customers with new models.

Over the years Band has introduced different styles of bentwood chair.  Some styles have been developments from traditional designs, such as the Camelot wedding chair, which is based on the Chivari chair and made to stack for the rental market.  Other styles have been the result of demands from the market.  The Diane chair was developed for the French market, where there was a request for a more ornate version of the Cheltenham; it continues to be the longstanding favourite on the continent and is used at royal functions in Britain, Sweden and Denmark.

Every model in the Band range has the same important features necessary for the rental market and for busy venues.  They stack 10 high and last many years, decades even – see which customers are still using their 20 year-old banqueting chairs, thus guaranteeing a return on investment.  In addition, all Band’s wooden chairs are FSC certified, the only wooden banqueting and wedding chairs to have attained this level of green accreditation.

Band invests a lot into sustainability: to ensure wood is sourced responsibly, to monitor their carbon footprint, to assure a high quality product which is repairable not replaced and to meet customers’ high expectations.  The Band chair is an investment in the future and customers can expect a high return on their original cost as a chair typically lasts well into its second decade.

Band International’s exhibition can be found on avenue D, Stand 191. The Showman’s Show takes place on 19th and 20th October 2010 at Newbury Showground.
